State, national honors honor Baylor’s effort to ‘go green’

In line with Baylor’s Christian heritage and mission, the university strives to a good steward of its resources , including the part of God’s creation that we call home — the beautiful Baylor campus. The university was recently recognized for its efforts by Keep Texas Beautiful (a statewide nonprofit dedicated to beautifying and improving community environments) and by Recyclemania (a recycling competition involving more than 600 colleges). Baylor received Keep Texas Beautiful’s first place award for college programs and finished among the top three schools in the Big 12 in three categories of the Recyclemania competition
